I am using 10.3.9 on an iBook, and wondered if Safari 1.3.2 is adequately secure? I don't see anyway of going to newest Safari w/o upgrading to Tiger...
Is Firefox more secure (?) than 1.3.2 for Ebay etc? TIA!

Personally I'd go with either Firefox or Camino. Although there aren't any known widespread exploits for that Safari version, better to be safe than sorry.

As long as you visit www.ebay.com directly you shouldn't have any problems, security issues with Safari will be fixed by the Apple Security updates anyhow.

i use FF. chances are security problems are found sooner on a more popular browser. in addition, i like really like the plugins, such as adblock plus, on FF.

thanks to all. I am leaning towards FF. I have it on one already (and like it), but did not want to switch without true need. This may be a case of "better safe than sorry", tho I do have all security updates...
