Just updated to Safari 18.4 and macOS 14.7.4 [from 14.7.3] and am noticing that one or 2 tabs on the left most are "blank" until I click on them. Have others noticed this too? Screenshots included. The blank tab or tabs move, depending on what is active.

same problem here, any solution?
I'm thrilled to see I am not the only one! Sadly no solution. :( I run on an M2 Max Studio and have 2 user accounts that I am active on. The issue seems to only affect one of those accounts. Restarting the machine/Safari does not seem to get rid of the issue.

Me too. I was looking everywhere for others who were experiencing this problem, and finally found this page and one other in the forum. Thanks for posting so I can stop trying to figure out what I did to cause it and wait for a bug fix.

I am so, *so* glad to know I'm not the only one! It is odd in that it only affects one of my 2 active accounts on my Mac. Are your Macs running macOS 14 or macOS 15? Curious if that has anything to do with it. I'm on 14.7.4.

glad to know it's not just ours but so dang ANGRY this crap keeps happening from lazy apple coding and buggy updates.

to wit: apple mail still failing to SAVE edited 'send later' emails into drafts once the send later is cancelled. it is supposed to SAVE back into DRAFTS so you can edit it. RIDICULOUS AND SLOPPY APPLE.

False alarm. Not fixed. I am very confused about the 14.7.5 and 18.4 updates I applied today as I had already done them on March 25th. But after updating those as requested by macOS, the Safari tab issue fixed itself for a bit. 3 reboots later and it is back to where it was before [the system update did break Hazel very badly for me, causing a full work stoppage so now I am trying to figure out how to roll back the OS to whatever build of 14.7.5 I installed on march 25th].
