Safari 3.1.2 and eBay.co.uk failing to load

I am having issues with Safari and eBay.co.uk
Safari will load the main page and also allow me to try and login, but then I get a page cannot be found error. If I try and search from the homepage I get the same error.
This function works fine with firefox on the same macbook with OSX 10.5.4
It is not the internet connection or any similar issue so it must be safari and eBay uk related. Even eBay.com works.

Any suggestions to allow me to visit the eBay.co.uk site in safari?
