I thought I'd test FF against S3 on a heavy page. FF took 4 minutes and 40 seconds to load, Safari crapped out after half the page was loaded. I thought that maybe it had something to do with the cache setting but there is no cache setting in S3. I tried Safari twice and it died twice.

I emptied the cache of both browsers and restarted them and tried them one at a time.

Worked fine for me. Seemed to take less than FF's 4:40 too (I'm on a pretty rubbish 250kbps connection as well).

well this is most odd. Obviously the relative speed itself is only relevant on the same connection.

I tried it again and it stopped at the similar spot. What is strange is the the blue loading bar in the url field disappears when the page stops loading? It looked like it started out loading faster, then it just stops.
