When I try to download files in Safari 3, they often don't work.

For example, I'm trying to download Camino 1.5.1 and the download simply doesn't show up. The same happens when trying to download the Safari 3 Beta (to uninstall Safari 3!).

I think there is something wrong with the way certain sites redirect - Safari can't handle it.

Anyone else having a similar issue?

I don't have the same problem. I just downloaded camino to ttest it out and worked perfectly.

Does the 'downloads' window show the download at all? If it does you can click the magnifying glass to show the download in the finder. It might be downloading to a different directory for some reason.

I think I need a reinstall. I can't be bothered using Apple's horrific Backup 3 though.

Best wait for Leopard!

Download window shows nothing at all. Some files download when you click them, it just seems to be the sites that re-direct and don't give you an exact link to download from.
