After the 10.4.11 update and the forced upgrade to Safari 3 I have been having many problems. I was avoiding upgrading to Safari 3 because for awhile or until relatively recently Acidsearch was incompatible with Safari 3. I have however started using and come to prefer Inquisitor. My problem now is that I can't put a space between words in the search bar. I have tried uninstalling both Acidsearch and Inquisitor but I can't seem to get rid of either of them. One of them has to go, preferably the one that is preventing me from using multi-worded searches!

SIMBL add-ons cause lots of problems

there's a similar add-on that doesn't require simbl called inquisitor.
personally, I don't think it's as good, but it doesn't mess with code or cause problems the way acid search/simbl add-ons do. and acid search appears not to ever be updated -- it's ancient now.

but you might want to try inquisitor (a pale imitation if you ask me). it requires administrator access

some people like it better, but i miss using acid search myself (especially the search this site feature). but the developer is constantly improving it and he may add some of the features of acid search if people will keep bugging him to do so.
