Command-F now brings up a finder bar at the top of the page (below the bookmarks bar, right above the page itself), and highlights each instance of the word in the page, with the selected hit highlighted in orange. See:

I noticed that, im not sure if I like it

Good find, I love this feature. But I thought this was supposed to be something specifically utilized by Core Animation (guess not now though). it's well presented in terms of finding something on a page (especially since the entire window darkens to show your highlighted searched term).

Note: It even works well on the Windows version of Safari too. Neat.

It is awesome, and a main feature of the new Safari 3 beta.

Unfortunately, unlike Camino, search doesn't start by just typing on a page. I also wish that the 'Hide Find Banner' key combo was :apple: +F, not :apple: +Shift+F.

And I hope SafariStand will be compatible soon :)

This is awesome. I personally don't object to how it looks and searching text in the old Safari was one of my main problems with it. It was useless! Even after it found and highlighted the word, it was still hard to find. Now the words jump right out...literally.

Just pressing escape works fine for me.

I find it awesome. It's so much better than "find next word"

You can use ESC to hide it also

Escape doesn't work when you've done something after the search, even just tab through to see the results...

Yes...BTW :apple: +G does that...I hate the mouse...

If you just use command + G or enter to search through the results then escape works.

If you press tab after you have brought up the search then you will need to revert to command + shift + F
