Like other Mac users, I too had my problems with Safari 5. After giving it a third chance and following all the tips in this forum and others, I had to finally jettison it and bring back 4.05. I used Pacifist, a cool program that can install OS X programs and apps outside the OS X traditional framework. After installing 4.05 again (right on top of OS X 10.6.4), I noticed that 4.05 seemed incredibly fast. Pages are loading very fast, faster than anything I've seen with Chrome. I'd swear this was the advertised Safari 5, this thing really smokes!! The OS is 10.6.4 with the latest Adobe flash also loaded. Nothing else, really. The performance of 4.05 is kinda cool, not sure what caused this but I'll take it.:cool:
