Is there anyway to have it ask you where you want to download a file to each time you download something. I think you were able to do this in the past, and its very simple to do on firefox. Is there a plug-in or something?

Well I supposed you could just right click on the link, choose save as and pick the location you want to save in.

All that you have to do is to go into the General Tab of Safari Preferences... and then change the "Save Downloaded Files To" to "Other" and then put it where ever you want...

I guess you miss-understood me. I know I can do that, but I download certain things to different places. I'm a student, and so research papers for 1 place go somewhere different than other things. I know that on some links, you can right-click "save as" but not all my links allow that.
