Prior to version 4, I did not have any major issues with Safari -- it was 99% stable. When Apple released version 4.0, there were a few quirks, but still nothing critical. I had expected this since it was a new version.
Now with each update since .0, sites that NEVER crashed before in Apple's browser, ARE CRASHING OR COMPLETELY LOCKING UP THE THIS P.O.S.! Now Safari is crashing to a point that I've had to restart OS X to get it out of its corrupted state!
Yep, NERD RAGE!
FireFox does not crash on me and it works on the sites that Safari now takes a dump. I really don't know what the deal is with Apple's recent QA, so I'm wondering if other "Tiger-users" have experienced more and more bugs with Apple's browser since they updated it to 4?
I'm running a Core 2 Duo MacBook Pro 17" with 10.4.11. My ram is good, I know this for a fact. Prior to Safari 4.01, I rarely ran into any crashes.
Just a ramble, I own a full version of Snow Leopard. The box set that comes with iWorks and iLife, but I have yet to install it, nor do I want to take the time out to do so right now, so if that's the way to fix Safari, I'll be annoyed to say the least. All of my pro apps work great under Tiger, so I'm not ready to experience the woes of a somewhat newer OS.
