Just downloaded Safari 5.1. After the download, and restarting my computer, I was asked for my login password. It was not accepted. Had to restart my Macbook using my Snow Leopard disk (glad to have one). That worked. Then I changed my Startup disk back and restarted in 10.6.8 on the Macbook. That also worked. For what it's worth.
