safari 5.1 search google in another tab

Is there any way to make safari 5.1 in Lion to open google in a new tab when doing a search? Searching in the same tab is not a great state of affairs.

Just do Cmd+Option+F to type in the search bar, then Cmd+Enter to open the search in a new tab.
