Safari 5 crashing

Since "upgrading" to Safari 5 I notice that a lot of sites (many of them carrying a fair number of flash ads) are causing the browser to crash.

This didn't happen with the previous version.

Is anyone else getting this?

It's almost as if it's happening "so that the prophecy of his Jobness will be fulfilled" ...

No crashing but I'm finding it to be very very slow, and scrolling is horribly choppy.

Can I downgrade back to 4.whatever I was on?
