This may be a stupid question, but how do you know if a site is secure when using Safari 6.1?
There's no https:// in the URL bar, and no lock or notification of any kind in the status bar! I went into preference to see if I could get the http:// part of the URL back, but couldn't find anything. I did a web search and didn't come up with anything.
The https://does flash momentarily when you first browse to the site, then disappears! If you're not looking, there's no way to find out…or does it mean that it is not secures at all because it disappears?
Please advise if you know how to turn this option back on. Otherwise, as a browser, Safari 6.1 is less than worthless, especially for people who shop or bank or pay bills online!
Thanks in advance.
