Safari 8, player controls in YouTube won't go away!

Switched over from Chrome to Safari when I upgraded to Yosemite, but I've been having some problems. I generally play YouTube videos in fullscreen, but the player controls stay up the whole time in Safari! They used to fade after ~5 seconds in Chrome....

Is anyone else having the same problem? Are there any settings/extensions that will help?
