The "clear history" does not do everything that "reset safari" did in earlier versions, and one thing it does is WORSE.
If you set it to clear ALL history, it also seems to wipeout login information (that I believe is stored in cookies).
I, too, wish they had retained the same functions in newer versions as "reset Safari" did in the older versions.
