Safari acting weird with Snow Leopard, (almost like kernel panic)

If I go into the top sites view, and select a site, for a second or so, the screen does this...

then it's fine.
It never was like this. Any ideas?
 
Yeah, weird.

And yet on my MBP it's fine.

maybe I should re-install snow leopard
