One of the things I LOVE about Firefox is that when you type a phrase in the address bar, it automatically searches for it in Google, and brings you directly to the first result (equivalent to going to google and hitting "I'm feeling lucky".
Sometimes if it isn't sure exactly what you want, it brings you to the google results page. This is incredibly useful.

Is it possible to implement to Safari?

Ok I found this...

http://purefiction.net/keywurl/

It's ok, but it starts with a keyword.

For example, if I type "espn david wright" it will bring me to espn.com's search results for David Wright.

In firefox, it will bring me directly to David Wright's page, instead of to search results.

Not a big difference, I know, but I'm curious to see if there is a more direct route.

I use Inquisitor with a keycommand binding. You have to do it from the search bar rather than the address bar, and it runs the search rather than taking you to the first hit... so, not much better than what you have now.
