Safari Address bar - return does nothing?

Good afternoon everyone. I am running Safari 3.0.4 on a macbook pro with OSX tiger. For some reason, this past week the Address bar and similarly the google side-search have been failing to do anything when i hit return. Unless i click the reload button or have a link, and can't get to the webpage. I have tried reinstalling, to no avail. Is anyone else experiencing any problems like this? Thanks

This just started happening for me, too. I'm running Safari 3.0.4 on Tiger 10.4.11, on a Dual-Core Intel Xeon 2.66 GHz MacPro tower. Has anyone figured out why this is happening?

I just found something that might be the answer:

He says that the Safari extension Sogudi can cause this problem. I have this installed, so I removed it, and the return key is working again.
