Safari and Facebook

Hey Everyone,
Recently I have noticed that when using Safari, the search on Facebook does not work. I type, but the text goes under the search bar. It comes up asking me to search for people I know, etc. When I type nothing happens. Also, it is not auto loading when scrolling to the bottom of the page. I know I could switch over to firefox but Safari has better battery management. Has this been happening to anyone else?

Works fine for me (Mini/OS10.9). Usually such behavior means you need to repair permissions and restart.

Or maybe try resetting Safari. It's in the bold "Safari" dropdown menu.

So I reset permissions and reset safari and it fixed it. It is now almost a week later and I am experiencing the same issue. I shouldn't have to keep resetting Safari. I have no idea what could be causing this. I do not use any add-ons with Safari. Also, I have firefox as well, but it seems to use more power. Is this true? Would you recommend Safari or Firefox?
