safari and firefox colours dont match

i made a picture with photoshop cs3 with the bacground colour #2A2010

then i set the background colour of my site to this.
<body bgcolor="#2A2010">

but in safari the background on the jpg is much darker than the one set in code, does anyone have a fix?

I've seen this at least once before on this site. Try doing a search for it. I don't think they came to a fix though, but it may give you more information.
 
i saw one fix that delt with removing the profile attached to the jpeg when saving with imageready, but imageready has been discontinued, and i cant find the same options in photoshop cs3
