my safari and firefor applications keep crashing and coming up with the report bug window, safari doesnt even open then comes up with the bug screen. any help on what to do?

You must become more specific as to what problems are you experiencing.

1)What hardware are u using?
2)What System do you have?
3)Do the applications crash into specific web pages?

Yeah, please give us a little more information. :)

At a guess though, ditching the preference files for these two apps might help, as will repairing permissions... Hopefully...

well im using tiger on a powerbook. but the browsers did crash before when i had panther. when i click them on the dock they bounce but dont open they just go staright to the submit report window. ive already tried permissions.

Does this happen sometimes, or every time you try to open either app?

Posting of crashlogs helps too.

I'm wondering if you don't have something evil in /Library/Internet Plug-Ins/

how do i delete the preference files? thanks for the help guys i appriciate it. yeh and it does crash each time i try to open each browser.

They're in ~/Library/Preferences/ (where ~ is your home folder). Safari's is called com.apple.Safari.plist and Firefox's is called org.mozilla.firefox.plist

Easiest way is to search for safari.plist via the Finder, you're likely to have lots of preferences files in your preferences folder :)
