Safari is my web browser of choice, and I use it almost all the time at home while using my ethernet connection.

However, anytime I connect to my school's wireless network, I get a message saying that Safari has "closed unexpectedly." I end up using Firefox, which isn't a tragedy by any means, but I would like to know why Safari almost always refuses to function on my wireless connection.

Any ideas?

My guess is that your school uses some kind of authentication process via your webbrowser, and they've decided not to make it compatible with Safari. Firefox is a bit more prevalent, so I suppose that took precedence for them.
