Safari and YouTube

I have problems playing videos from Youtube (video will not start) when i use Safari 5.1.7. With Firefox 16.0.2 i can see those same videos without any problems. What should i do?

p.s. its not happening with all videos

how can i see what version it is?
and regarding the S version, well im on SnowLeopard, i believe the version i have is the most updated for S, or am i wrong?

flash plugin is in system preferences, it will show you the version there.
if you don't have a flash icon in the system preferences then you don't have the latest version.

11.5.502.136 is the current release version.
