Anyway to disable this? I can in Firefox but can't figure it out in Safari.

They're taking them from the bookmarks, not the history, FYI
 
This command entered into Terminal.app should do the trick


defaults write com.apple.Safari DebugSafari4IncludeFancyURLCompletionList -bool NO
