Does Chrome conserve power better than Safari? I'm already sick of Safari's bugs. It's always the highest user of power in my iphone 6+ (50-60% range).

I think that's pretty normal. Browsing involves downloading lots of data and rendering complex layouts. It's inherently battery intensive. Browsers don't really do anything in the background do chances are if you're seeing that sort of usage, it's just a result of using the browser a lot. Safari is always the biggest battery user in my phone. On my Android phone, it's the same thing (well, Chrome.) I would not worry about it.
