Can anyone give me any idea why this is happening? It's a 2.6 mbp with 4gb of RAM. Running iStat it never goes above about 5% cpu and 2gb of memory usage, but for some reason I get constant beachballs in safari. I can switch to a different space and use everything fully functionally while safari gets over its hang up. I have no idea what's going on. Thanks

Is safari updated to the newest version? When it beach balls that means that its being slowed down due to the hard drive. How much free space is left on your hdd? Also you can try going into disk utilities and repairing permissions etc.

Not sure what firmware, but it's getting worse, even after running repair disk permissions. I've tried software update and nothing new pops up. VERY frustrating. May just have to hit the apple store
