Before I did a clean install of Tiger, I backed up all my bookmarks using Safari Bookmark Exporter. Not knowing any better, I exported them as a simple html file, and now Safari won't import them. I would use Safari Enhancer, but that doesn't work with Tiger yet. Any suggestions on what to do? Should I just wait for a Tiger compatable safari enhancer? Is there another program to use? Can I somehow do this task with automator? Thanks.

You can try importing them through the debug menu: To enable it open Terminal:
Type the following command in Terminal (while Safari is NOT running):
defaults write com.apple.Safari IncludeDebugMenu 1

Then open Safari go to Debug and import Bookmarks. I am not confident that this will work.

For the future backing up Safari's bookmarks is very easy and you don't need any 3-rd party software:
In <user home>/Library/Safari/ there is a file called Bookmarks.plist.
All you have to do is copy this file. You can then move it back to the same folder later or even move it to a new Mac and the bookmarks will be exactly the same.
