hi guys, how do I open a link when I am in Safari in a NEW window???? I hate hitting the go-back button.....

Also I have an apple mice......how do I change the settings to open the link in safari in new window??

If you are not using tabbed browsing (and if you want another window instead of a new tab I assume you are not) the Command-Click will open in a new window. If you have tabbed browsing enabled this gets you a new tab instead and there does not seem to be a modifier key to get a new window. As a side not Alt-Click downloads the link.

A Command-click will do the trick (unless you've enabled tabbed browsing, in which case Command-Option-click is the keystroke needed).

Beat you to it! :p But I still have much to learn (never found the Command-Option-Click combo). :p

Open a page in a new window, if tabbed browsing is off:

Command + click a link or bookmark

Open a page in a new window behind the current window, if tabbed browsing is off:

Command + Shift + click a link or bookmark

Open a page in a new tab but stay on the current tab, if tabbed browsing is on:

Command + click a link or bookmark

Open a page in a new tab and switch to the new tab, if tabbed browsing is on:

Command + Shift + click a link or bookmark

Open a page in a new window, if tabbed browsing is on:

Command + option + click a link or bookmark

Open a page in a new window behind the current window, if tabbed browsing is on:

Command + option + Shift + click a link or bookmark

With an Apple (single-button) mouse and nothing else? You can't.

Well, the only thing you can't do is right-click. A command-click just means that you hold down the Apple key (on your keyboard) while you click your Apple Mouse.

it's very simple. hold down the control button and click on the apple pro mouse. your options will appear.

simply use the control button as your "right click"
