Just did a clean install of Yosemite and things look beautiful! A little disappointment, unless I'm missing something. Is there finally a way in Safari Version 8.0 (10600.1.25) to automatically clear all browsing history and/or website data after quitting the application, similar to what firefox does?

If not its a damn shame apple hasn't implemented this feature yet because its way too long over due. Thanks!

Nope... I use the app Cookie for that. You can whitelist cookies etc you want to keep and everything else gets deleted when you quit Safari.
