I can't quit Safari.

Safari hung on me and I did a Force Quit. It seemed to work. The dialogue box asking me if I wanted to send an error report to Apple popped up. But the dock still says Safari is on.

So I try to Force Quit again. Nothing. I can't get a new Safari window to come up, so I go to Terminal and pulled the ol' killall on Safari. No dice. Activity Monitor says it's not running. Force Quit in the "Apple" menu says it is, as does the Dock.

This has happened a few times, lately, since the most recent OS upgrade. I've had to hard restart just to get it working right.

Specs:
Quicksilver PowerMac G4 Dual 1Ghz, 1.5 Gb RAM (old, I know! new iMac coming in October)
Leopard 10.5.8

Any one else on an ancient machine like mine having the same issues?

What Safari plug-ins do you use, if any?

None whatsoever.

My machine has been acting a little wonky lately in addition to Safari messing up, but Safari has been one of the main problems. I just think my ancient machine is getting a little long in the tooth for the bloatware that iTunes and Safari have become. I'll be glad to finally get one that can handle the new software.
