Our bank is Primis and Safari works fine on everything but Bill Pay. This is the message from Primis: Make sure cookies are not blocked and cross-site tracking is enabled. I have done that with no success. I am using Mac OS 15.1 Beta. Firefox works fine. Has anyone else gotten Bill Pay to work on Primis or any other bank site?

Yes, it does. Firefox privacy and security settings are Standard, Strict or Custom. I tried it on Strict because it says some web sites may not work properly on this setting. Before that it was set to Standard. Both work fine on Primis.com accessing Bill Pay.

Does Bill Pay come as a pop up window?

As for Safari prevent cross site tracking, I don’t think it’s aggressive so it should work just like Firefox tracking protection.

Either the website is badly configured for WebKit user agent, or is a beta bug? Maybe you can try an extension that change user agent and see how the website works. Get an extension that change Safari to Firefox user agent or change Firefox to Safari user agent.

I do think the website is configured bad. I've tried different user agents and get the same thing. Bill pay goes to a continued window, not a pop up. I have submitted the bug or action to Apple. I feel they will get it straight. Hopefully by the time Sequoia comes out on release day.

Bank (Truist) says to check that I'm not doing any restrictive stuff:
  • Block third party cookies
  • Cookie tracking
  • Cross-site tracking
This is something I have seen plenty of times before. So if I want to use bill pay, I just make sure that those settings are not in conflict with what the bank wants. Safari, after my update today, does not have a setting for cross site tracking (I assume that as long as I am not blocking third-party cookies, cross site tracking is not a problem and I am not blocking third-party cookies). My third-party cookies are unchecked meaning that they are not being blocked. I am accepting cookies. So as far as I can tell, I am in compliance with the banks requirements and I assume this is a problem with Safari because yesterday I had no problem using bill pay.

Having the same issue with my credit union. Can connect with Firefox just fine. Can't find a setting that will allow me to connect in Safari.

A new Beta of 15.1 is available now and it fixes my Bill Pay situation.
But, if I turn on Prevent Cross Site Tracking Bill Pay goes back to now working. Also, If I keep Cross Site Tracking off but, turn on Private Relay, I can't log in to Gmail.

Posted this very problem over at the iOS 18 Forum yesterday thinking it was iOS specific and realized today that the same problem exists on my Mac in Sequoia 15 :( I think I’ve tried everything on the Net so far without a change. I can use Chrome after turning off Block Pop-ups which I’m pretty sure was the fix back when I upgraded to iOS 17.

Posted this FIX for iOS 18 on that Forum but the problem remains in Sequoia 15….

FIXED:
Have you tried requesting the desktop website (...or the mobile website if that one shows up instead)? Or clearing your history and website data to clear out your cookies and starting from scratch?

On my iPad Pro, Settings->Safari->Request Desktop Website->All Websites->DISABLE. Then on my banks website when I clicked on Bill Pay this time I got a request to check if Pop-ups was enabled so back to Settings->Safari and Block Pop-ups was now re-enabled, disabled Block Pop-ups and Bill Pay appeared. Thanks!
