I have a PowerBook G4, running Safari 4.0.3, and it constantly needs to be Force Quit. Any help or suggestions(yes i tried resetting and rebooting)?

i think getting firefox or even camino is an unacceptable answer. I like safari. not firefox. Not camino. why can't they just get it to work right?

mine has been crashing too for some reason. Was there a update recently or something?
Or could it be that 10.6.2 who's the reason for the crashes?

I think Safari runs better in 10.6.2 than it did in 10.6.1
At least I read that there were several Safari tweaks made. I don't know first hand. It might take a couple more updates to get everything ironed out.

Folks, there is no 10.6.x for Powerbook which uses PPC processor.

OP - try uninstalling Flash Player completely ( http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/141/tn_14157.html) and reboot, permission repair, reinstall the latest flash player and repeat the permission repair - this *may* fix the problem *if* the problem is flash related. [Do all this after you Quit all browsers.]

If that doesn't fix the problems, post some relevant lines from the Console log (Applications--Utilities--Console) and someone may be able to help.
