Safari Crashing on 3GS

I'm haivng an issue with Safari on my 3GS. Every time I launch the application it just closes immediately. Is there anything that can be done to fix this without having to do a complete restart of all of the settings? I've had the issue on iOS 4.0.1 and now on 4.1.
