There are reports of Safari crashing on certain sites or with multiple tabs open, but I've noticed that Safari crashes when opening large files such as a PDF larger than 100 mb. It seems to work fine on my iPhone. I was wondering if others are able to open large PDFs on Safari.

It's a known issue with both of the new iPad's.

Don't go through the hassle of returning it. A future iOS update will fix it.

my safari crashes at least 2x a day. pretty annoying.
will wait for ios 7.1 otherwise will return. hopefully its out soon, and not after30 day policy

Mine does it several times a day too, while my iPad 3 never crashed. I usually have around 6 tabs open. It doesn't really bother me that much, though. I just relaunch and everything comes back up almost instantly.

Hope I got a good one. I run about 5 tabs and haven't had a crash yet.

I've had it for over a week.

I restored to 7.0.4 and set up as new.

Not a single memory crash in my logs.

Is anyone able to download a PDF file greater than 100 mb on Safari?

I haven't had any issues with Safari crashing with multiple tabs. The only time it crashes is when opening large files.

I'm experiencing this too, especially with large PDFs as you said. Perhaps it's an ios bug that will be fixed soon. Also I really hope that they just forgot to add full screen to Safari and that they didn't take it out intentionally :(

I sure hope you are right... It's my only issue with this awesome new device: Safari crashing for no apparent reason.

I have experienced crashes with large .pdfs. I hope an update addresses this!

Where/how can you check iOS logs?
