On my 2016 MBP, I started to have this odd issue where Safari seems to dump my login state for every site I'm logged into. It's as if I cleared my website data (but I didn't). Some more details:
  • It logs me out while I'm in the middle of something. For instance, it will dump the state and I lose access to gmail while checking email.
  • It logs me out of all sites like amazon, gmail, facebook, reddit, etc
  • It not only logs me out, but it also dumps any MFA recognition so I have to re-authenteicate like it's a new browser/computer
  • It happens randomly, but occurs every 1-2 days.
  • Chrome works fine and maintains my login state.
  • I created a new user profile on my MBP and that profile maintains the login state so I think it has to do with this particular user profile.
  • I tried reinstalling Big Sur and it still persists
  • I have multiple devices (iphone, iPad) so I thought maybe one of them is syncing bad data via iCloud. Can't find anything wrong though
  • I ran Disk Utility, checked for Malware, ran Antivirus.
I think my only option is basically to wipe the machine and start over. I'm don't even think I can restore my user profile from a time machine backup because it might "migrate" the issue.

Any other suggestions?

Replying to my own post. The issue was if you have Developer Tools enabled, anytime you access, it removes all your login states. I'm not sure why, I believe it was opened as a bug.
