Hi

Is there a way to stop videos autoplaying in Safari ?
I hate when websites have videos embedded on autoplay
Usually with loud adverts ahead of them.

I have removed Flash from my system to exactly stop this, but HTML5 now seems to have taken hold, and various websites think I want to hear about company X beer or tampons from company Y when I just want to quietly read the news.

I use this extension to stop autoplay.

Hmm.. that only works for YouTube and the other main sites ?
Not on "all" proprietary videos ?

I have Flash installed, and use a plugin called ClickToFlash.
This blocks all Flash content on the page and you have to click on it in order for the Flash content to run.
It also defaults all video to HTML5 if available (such as YouTube etc) - and again you have to click on the video/content for it to play.
None of the content plays automatically.
