Safari doesn't display images or graphics after update?

Safari just quit displaying graphics and interactive content. Looks almost like the pages just refuse to load completely, but this is not the case. This is on my Retina MacBook Pro which I recently updated to 10.8.1
Any ideas what would cause this? I have to use Google Chrome just to post this thread as the words on drop down menus and tabs are blank. Here is a screenshot of Apple.com when loaded.
