i m not sure if it has something to do with office 2011. coz i did not change any system configurations, only installed office for mac today.

airport also seems broken. can not sharing my internet for iphone.

internet sharing is on, firewall is off. iphone can connect to the wireless, but wont DHCP the right ip address. before it was something like 10.0.0.x when its working. now the ip adress i got on the iphone its 169.254.xxx.xxx

The Safari problem seems font-related. As a first step, you could clear your font cache and see if that resolves the problem. To do this, quit your open applications, and then open Terminal (in Utilities). Enter

Code:
atsutil databases -removeUser

and then logout and log back in. See if Safari renders correctly.

The new office has a nasty bug that removes your default fonts.

Look under Hard Drive Name > Library > Fonts Disabled

You will see arial, helvetica, webdings, etc. Copy those fonts back into the Fonts folder directly above it. Reboot.
