Safari download manager crashing on startup

SDM was working fine. One day I had a download freeze and crash safari. After that every time safari opens when SDM is installed it crashes as soon as it opens. If I turn off the process in sb settings or uninstall it it works fine.

If I try reinstalling it it starts crashing again. Any idea what could be going on. Or how I can clean it out completely so a reinstall would work?

Sounds like a corrupt configuration file or something that's persisting between installs. Try SSHing in, finding out where it's installed and deleting it.
