Good afternoon,

Does anyone know if it’s possible to make Safari browser extensions also apply to webapps added to your Home Screen? Two extensions that I wish to use are Control Panel for Twitter and an adblocker. They work wonderfully in Safari itself, however when I add the page to my Home Screen, the extensions are no longer enabled for that webapp in particular.

Basically, my intent is to have Twitter set as a webapp, where there are no ads or promoted tweets, I can remove the “For You” function, easily distinguish between Twitter Blue and Verified users, and with iOS 16.4, push notifications. I no longer wish to use the official app from the App Store.

Cheers,

Interesting question and I presume the answer is no because that would simply make the web app a web page.

I guess the whole point of a web app is that it mimics closely how a local app functions more than how a web page works.
