Safari favourites scrolls upward after one second

Is anyone else having a problem with this? When I tap on favourites in Safari after a split second the favourite icons scroll upwards so the favourite I am trying to tap scrolls up and I accidentally hit the one below it. Its very annoying!

This happens in both portrait and landscape orientation, am using a 15 Pro

Interesting... Thanks for giving it a test.

e2a: i'm wondering if its because I only have 9 favourites and it shuffles up because of that (although it still makes no difference if I switch from compact to large icons which *does* fill the screen)

Have you tried restarting the phone? Could be just a temporary glitch.

Yes, I have tried that. I mean its not the end of the world or anything, but just slightly irritating when it opens the favourite I wasn't intending to

The plot thickens.... Just tried replicating the issue on my iPad and that's got the same problem as well.
