Safari, Firefox and Chrome all hang

Well, I didn't change or install anything but since this afternoon Safari began to pause about 3/4 of the way loading a page. It would hang for about 3 seconds, give me the color wheel then load the rest of the page. So, I installed Firefox and Chrome and they both do the same thing.

Went to software update and got a Safari update, still same issue.
Tried repairing permissions, still same issue.
Tried flash adblock, still same issue.

I'm on an early '08 MacPro running 10.6.4

Any ideas?

Uninstalled flash and browsers worked better but not like they did before the issue arrived. Reinstalled flash and back to square one of hanging browsers with color wheel.

Help?

I may be too late, but try using ClickToFlash

Also, clean Safari cache and other cache folders.

You also may want to verify and repair permissions too. Do that in addition to using ClickToFlash as mentioned above.
