My personal email account is through AT&T/Yahoo, so I utilize their web-based email client. Once I got my Macbook, Windows users tell me that they cannot read emails sent via the web client on their accounts. It's all garbled computer code. Has anyone else had this issue? Any suggestions? Maybe I should use Mail or Entourage to access that account?

To access Yahoo mail from a client program such as Mail, you have to subscribe to Yahoo! Mail Plus:

From Yahoo's own site:
Subscription to Yahoo! Mail Plus Service: You must subscribe to the Yahoo! Mail Plus service for POP access through your email client.
And also from their site:
The ability to access Yahoo! Mail via a POP3 email client (such as Outlook or Outlook Express) is only available to customers of our premium Yahoo! Mail Plus service.

yahoo web mail client, called zimbra, is free, and no subscription is needed.

however, I do have trouble understand what exactly was OP using to send emails. are you using browsers and goto mail.yahoo.com? or some other method?

My Yahoo mail is through AT&T so my email ends with sbcglobal.net. I can use POP just fine, I just use the web client. When I send email, Windows users can't read the emails.
