Safari Freezes upon opening!!!!!!!

Hi, I just started having this problem with safari. as soon as I click on it the browser opens up, and before it can even load the home page it freezes up, the pointer starts spinning and it just stays like that until i have to force quit it. I uninstalled it and reinstalled it and it still works that same. I'm running osx on a new aluminium macbook. Can anyone help me out???

Try trashing the prefs (~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.Safari.plist) and see if Safari works after that.

Hmm.

Disk/permissions check via Disk Utility? I recall having a few Safari issues fixed with the repairing of the disk and permissions via Disk Utility.
