Safari freezes

So all other apps and everything work fine, and it is just Safari that is causing problems?
If that is the case, try making a new/temp admin account then login to that account and see if the problem persists. If it does that tells you it is something specific to your account that is causing the problem... like a launch item or extension.
You can use the app Etrecheck to show a list of all startup and launch items to help you track this down. If you would like, you can post the anonymized Etrecheck report here and we can try and help you.
