Safari hanging on Google image search?

Since Google added the fancy new image search, Safari has been hanging for a few seconds each time I search or navigate back onto the results page. It also cranks my processor usage right up (in the region of ~170% for Safari when it's normally way below 1%).

Anyone else suffering the same?

13" MBP, 2.53GHz C2D, 4GB RAM running 10.6.4 and latest Safari.
