Safari has become unusable in the last few weeks. Websites only partially load and then links don't work. sometimes it will work OK for a little bit, and then, it sputters to a stop — literally. I am logged into MacRumors from Firefox to type this. I am on a Macbook Air M1 with 16gb ram. I like Safari because I frequently bookmark webpages for my media news business and it integrates bookmarks from my iPhone and iPad, but lately, it has become unusable for this. I have reset all my settings to the least restrictive, and cleared history and cache, but the problems remain. So frustrating. Anyone have any ideas what can be done to solve this?

1. What Mac & Ventura versions are you using?

2. What Safari version?

3. What extensions do you have installed?

4. Can you share some of the websites that don't work?

I'm not experiencing any problems with Safari 16.4 (other than the usual website issues) on a Studio.

Same with me - I should stress that this is only with Safari on my Macs, not on iPad/iPhone.

Intel and M1 Macs, Monterey, newest Safari version. No private relay, no extensions, all on default.

It is different to say which sides do not load properly as it changes all the time. I often got this experience on https://www.faz.net and on https://www.ksta.de - these are German newspaper pages. I guess that it is the ads and that some of them do not work with Safari.

The outdoor site https://www.komoot.de sometimes behaves in a manner that pressing the Login-button is to no avail.

Sometimes, https://www.chess.com won't login also because, again, pressing the button has no effect.

Furthermore, various sites all over the internet do not work as they should from time to time.

Every time I encounter this experience, I switch to Firefox, and all is working.

It is a pity but Safari for Mac is dead (for me). I really would like to use it because of bookmark and password integration within the ecosystem but :(

I've had issues with some sites loading that never had problems in the past. Sadly, two of them are sites I need to access to pay a bill. I'm on both the latest version of Ventura and Safari, both stock.

Edit: I end up having to pull them up on Edge on my Dell XPS. Frustrating to jump back and forth!
