Safari has stopped browsing

So i just launched safari and i tried to go one of my favorite sites Youtube and it refuses and hangs at "contacting youtube". I thought only you tube was the culprit and tried a plethora of other sites including this one but get the same thing.

I then fired up Firefox and ALL those sites loaded perfectly (i'm typing this from Firefox) suggesting to me that safari is the culprit and my network as well as those sites are all fine. I've reset safari, cleared cache and history all to no avail. The thing just refuses to work end of story.

Is there anyway to reinstall safari from scratch or is there something im doing wrong??

Make a new user, log in and see if Safari is misbehaving. If it is, and you have done all of the basic maintenance tricks, then reinstall it from your System Install using Pacifist.

Ok so i tried he new user thing and Safari works fine there but on my main account....no dice
