In Safari, besides "history" where else may i find a list of sites i've visited before?

Um, that's what the history is. A list of sites you've visited before. It's your only option. Safari will auto-complete url's as you type them if it's in your history or bookmarks.

my girlfriend has given me a list of sites i've visited, after i've "cleared History"

And check your bookmarks.

And from now on, enable Private Browsing when you're looking at pr0n.

Does she have access to your router?

And, yes, auto-complete searches bookmarks as well, so clearing cache or history won't stop auto-complete using those.

Edit: yup... cookies are likely the culprit. Private Mode browsing will stop that.

Perhaps a third party program or some network tool can see what you are doing. It won't matter if you clear the history or the cache.

[Edit]
Woman are getting wise to web surfing nowdays. Clearing the cache and history are clear signs of guilt. They will notice that and investigate. The best thing to do is go into Private Browsing mode and never clear your history. Keep your history clean and load it with some good stuff and you will be safe.

Ummm...

Might I suggest clicking on Reset Safari, under the Safari tab. It cleans all of the stuff people have mentioned above...
